Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Amianto.info uses cookies and similar technologies on our platform. It complements our Privacy Policy and helps you understand what cookies are, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as language, login state, and display settings) over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them whenever you come back or browse from one page to another.

Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

2. How We Use Cookies

Amianto.info uses cookies for the following purposes only. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the platform to function. These enable core functionality such as user authentication, session management, security, and load balancing. The platform cannot work properly without them.
  • Preference cookies: remember your language selection (EN/ES/FR), display settings, and consent choices. These improve your experience but are not essential.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors interact with the platform so we can improve it. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymised.

3. Cookies We Set

The table below summarises the cookies that may be set when you use Amianto.info:

  • sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token (Supabase): authentication tokens that keep you signed in. Strictly necessary. Expires when you log out or after the session ends.
  • NEXT_LOCALE: stores your preferred language. Preference cookie. Expires after one year.
  • __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid (Stripe): used for fraud prevention during payment. Strictly necessary on checkout pages only. Expires after one year and one hour respectively.
  • _vercel_jwt: used by Vercel for routing and protection. Strictly necessary. Session cookie.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use to deliver core functionality. We carefully select these providers and ensure they comply with GDPR.

  • Stripe: payment processing. See https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal
  • Supabase: authentication and database. See https://supabase.com/privacy
  • Vercel: hosting and content delivery. See https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

5. Your Choices

You can control and manage cookies in several ways. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent the platform from working correctly.

  • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies. Visit your browser's help section for instructions.
  • Do Not Track: we honour Do Not Track signals where technically feasible.
  • Withdrawing consent: where cookies are based on consent, you can change your preferences at any time through your browser settings.

For more information about managing cookies in popular browsers, visit: aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
