Contribute
Help us build a more complete and accurate resource for the global asbestos community.
Why Contribute
Amianto.info serves professionals, property owners, researchers, and regulators across multiple countries. The quality of this service depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information it contains.
Asbestos regulations change. New materials are identified. Professional certifications evolve. Geographic coverage needs to expand. No single editorial team can keep pace with every development across every jurisdiction.
Contributions from the community — experts, researchers, professionals, and informed members of the public — help ensure that amianto.info remains accurate, current, and useful. Every correction, suggestion, and addition makes the platform better for everyone who relies on it.
How You Can Contribute
Report Data Errors
If you find incorrect information on any page — a regulation that has changed, a date that is wrong, a requirement that has been updated — you can report it. All reports are reviewed by the editorial team and corrections are published as quickly as possible.
- Regulation data that is outdated or incorrect
- Professional profile information that is inaccurate
- Geographic data (city names, boundaries, population) that needs updating
- Broken links or missing references
Suggest New Regulations
If your country or jurisdiction is not yet covered in the regulation database, or if a regulation has been enacted that we have not yet recorded, you can suggest it for inclusion. Provide the official source and we will verify and add it.
- New national or regional asbestos legislation
- Amendments to existing regulations
- New regulatory bodies or enforcement agencies
- Updated occupational exposure limits
Propose New ACM Entries
The ACM (asbestos-containing materials) database grows through contributions from professionals and researchers who identify materials not yet in the system. If you know of an ACM product, trade name, or material category that should be included, you can propose it.
- Product trade names containing asbestos
- Manufacturer information and production dates
- Material categories and typical applications
- Photographic references for identification
Contribute Expertise
If you are a subject matter expert — a surveyor, industrial hygienist, regulatory specialist, or researcher — you can contribute by reviewing existing content for accuracy, suggesting improvements to explanatory material, or providing insights that improve the quality of platform content.
- Technical review of methodology or process descriptions
- Country-specific regulatory expertise
- Corrections to technical terminology
- Suggestions for educational content improvements

Submission
You submit a correction, suggestion, or new entry through one of the channels above. Include as much detail and sourcing as possible.
Editorial review
The editorial team reviews the submission for accuracy, verifies sources against official publications, and checks for consistency with existing platform content.
Verification
For regulatory data, submissions are cross-referenced against official sources. For ACM entries, material identification is verified against industry references. For professional corrections, the relevant profile owner is notified.
Publication
Once verified, the correction or addition is published. Major changes to regulation pages include a "last updated" timestamp. Contributors are not publicly credited by default (to protect privacy), but can request attribution.
Contribution Guidelines
- Provide official sources whenever possible (government publications, legislation text, accreditation body documents).
- Specify the jurisdiction. Asbestos regulations vary by country and often by state or province. Always indicate which jurisdiction your contribution applies to.
- Use factual language. Contributions should state facts, not opinions or advocacy positions. The platform presents regulatory information neutrally.
- One submission per issue. If you have multiple corrections or suggestions, submit them separately so each can be tracked and verified independently.
- Respect privacy. Do not include personal information about individuals unless they are public-facing professional contacts relevant to the submission.
Ready to Contribute?
Whether you have spotted an error, have regulatory expertise to share, or want to help expand the ACM database, your contribution makes the platform better for everyone.
